Readers travelling with Virgin Trains West Coast today, next week or in January should be aware of strike action which may affect your journey.

RMT & TSSA strike sction is taking place on December 15 and 22, and again on January 5, 8, 26 and 29.

Virgin Trains says that “The majority of our services are running during the strike action”, but amended timetables have been published for the two December strike dates.

Tomorrow’s strike action has been called off, although the operator advises:

“We are planning to run a full timetable, but there may be some cancellations due to last-minute staff rota changes. We still recommend you travel earlier if possible as we are expecting services to be busier.”
