A huge and complex rail hub has been under construction in Stuttgart since 2010.

Critics in Germany have compared the project to that of Berlin’s ill-fated (and still unfinished) new airport.

The rail hub at Stuttgart is running around four years behind schedule. Current estimates are that it will open in 2024 which is 14 years after construction first started.

All in all the project is reckoned to cost Euros 7.6 billion which is Euros 1.1 billion more than the estimated cost four years ago.

Don’t buy German buildings, same for MNL Terminal 3,and they argued about the price for years too!
They are much better at cars, too clever sometimes!

They should have got their neighbours the Swiss to do it. Every time I pass through ZRH I marvel at how efficient and pleasant the airport is.
