Qatar Airways to serve Canberra

    Canberra will be added to Qatar Airways’ Australian network starting in February 2018.

    Although the airline has yet to announce details officially, flight information is already displayed on the carrier’s website.

    The Canberra flight will be rostered for a B777-300ER. It will be a continuation of the carrier’s second daily Doha-Sydney service which is also a new development.

    Qatar Airways will join SIA as being the only long-haul (non-Australasian) carriers to operate into Canberra.

    Sixth-freedom carriers, like Qatar and SIA, must constantly stay ahead of the pack in order to survive in today’s competitive market.

    The other news is that Qatar Airways will be doubling DOH-SYD flight frequency.
