Today Emirates has officially confirmed the extra flights referred to above.

Emirates says they are being operated because of “exceptional customer demand over the busy holiday season.”

It says “the top five destinations for UK passengers flying at this time of year are usually Dubai, Bangkok, Perth, Sydney and Auckland.”

Hi,

i have just done a number of flights on EK out of Manchester in both classes. When I spoke to the cabin Manager she stated that all UK flights are booked out in all classes”. It was UK Half Term and she stated holiday season brings full flights for EK out of the UK. I also see they have changed BHX to all A380 again.

And not a word from any UK carrier about unfair subsidized compettion – Delta and other US carriers take note…
