Gatwick Airport has plenty of hotel options, both connected to the airport and a short drive or shuttle bus away. The airport has two terminals – North and South. To get between terminals take Gatwick’s inter-terminal shuttle service. This runs every few minutes, 24-hours per day, seven days per week, and has a journey time of two minutes.

The shuttle station is located close to the train station at Gatwick’s South Terminal.

From the South Terminal or the train station please the signs for North Terminal to board the shuttle.

From North Terminal simply follow the signs for South Terminal to get the shuttle.

Premier Inn London Gatwick Airport, North Terminal

Premier Inn has two properties at Gatwick. This one is directly opposite North Terminal, you can walk from the hotel to departures in minutes, and use the Gatwick inter-terminal shuttle service for the South Terminal. Every room comes equipped with coffee and tea making facilities and free wifi. There is also an onsite restaurant, which serves a breakfast buffet and an a la carte dinner menu, as well as a 24-hour Costa Coffee. Directly connected to North Terminal, this hotel is located only a short walk from departures and you can use the free Gatwick inter-terminal shuttle service for the South Terminal. The Sofitel has 518 rooms and suites containing free wifi, bathroom amenities and Queen size beds as standard. The hotel has a fitness centre, business centre, and spa. There is also a bar and three onsite restaurants covering lunch and dinner: La Brasserie serves French and British cuisine; Vanda restaurant serves oriental cuisine; Urban Café serves snack dishes; and Kua bar has a wide variety of wines and cocktails, as well as television screens to show major sporting events. The second Gatwick Premier Inn relies on a shuttle bus service (G2) to get you to the terminals – it runs every 20 minutes from 0400 to midnight and half hourly from midnight to 0400 and costs £3 per journey for adults, children under 16 are free. Every room includes coffee and tea making facilities and free wifi. There is also an onsite restaurant, which serves a breakfast buffet and an a la carte dinner menu. There is hotel parking priced at £10 a night and free shuttle busses run from Gatwick long stay car park to the hotel. Premier Inn runs a Good Night Guarantee scheme which gives you your money back if you are unsatisfied with your stay.

The hotel is connected to North Terminal by a covered walkway, making departures only a few minutes away by foot and you can use the free Gatwick inter-terminal shuttle service for the South Terminal. All rooms come with free wifi, tea and coffee making facilities, and there are also wheelchair accessible rooms available. The hotel has a free fitness centre, business centre, audio and visual equipment rental desk, a bar and a lounge. A breakfast buffet is included.

A Travelodge

The Travelodge is one mile from the airport. Shuttle bus services G1, G3 and G7 run from the hotel to both the North and South terminals, 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week. To reach the hotel from the airport use bus stop number 8, at both Gatwick terminals. Fares are £3.00 per adult, one way and £1.50 per child (5-14 years old), one way. Allow approximately 15 minutes journey time from the hotel to the South Terminal and 20 minutes to the North Terminal.(Journey times may vary depending on traffic and time of day). Rooms come with King size beds as standard, wifi (charges apply) and tea and coffee making facilities. There is also a restaurant, which serves breakfast and dinner, and onsite parking charged at £8 per day.

The hotel is around half a mile from the airport. There is a 24-hour shuttle bus (£3 per adult, £1.50 per child (5-14), under 5s free). From the South Terminal look for bus stop 9: take buses G1/G3/G7. From the North Terminal use bus stop 8: take buses G1/G3/G7. Daily Parking is £10. The hotel has 216 rooms, all equipped with wifi and tea and coffee making facilities. Other features include an onsite bar and lounge, a fitness centre and spa and a restaurant serving a variety of cuisines for breakfast and dinner. Located inside the South Terminal building, the hotel’s entrance is on the third floor next to security. For transfers to North Terminal you can use the Gatwick inter-terminal shuttle service. The hotel has cabin style rooms, which come with a single bed as standard, as well as wifi and a smart control system powered through the TV. There is a business centre, but no restaurant; instead your booking gets you discounts at airport restaurants such as Giraffe or Apostrophe.

The Courtyard Marriott is located a ten minute walk from South Terminal (the hotel has a map that can be downloaded here) from where you can use the Gatwick inter-terminal shuttle service for the North Terminal. Alternatively there is a shuttle bus service as with other hotels (see above). The Courtyard Marriott’s rooms come with King size beds as standard, free wifi and tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel has an onsite fitness centre, convenience store, business centre and two restaurants serving breakfast and dinner. The Bar-B-Q provides lighter snacks and the Casterbridge Grill offers an a la carte menu.

This hotel is located inside the South Terminal building and you can use the Gatwick inter-terminal shuttle service for the North Terminal. All rooms come with single beds as standard and free wifi. There is no restaurant, instead you can order off the snack room service menu 24-hours a day. Throughout the entirety of your stay you get complimentary hot drinks 24-hours a day.
