PABLO PICASSO
NEW YORK, USA. Until November 3
A new focus exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), on until November 3, features sculptures by Pablo Picasso, an exhibition of radical, thought-changing works in cast bronze, plaster and other materiels. The artist turned to sculpture at key moments in his career, using the medium as a testing ground for ideas. The sculpture Woman’s Head (Fernande) (1909) helped Picasso conceptualise the breaking of solid volume into shifting masses, and is a good example of early Cubism. Visit moma.org/exhibitions.
