VintageKrugParticipantSave the date.
Visit our website at 12 noon on Friday 25 June to be part of our very first bmifriday.
Visit http://www.flybmi.com at 12 noon 25 June 2010.
Hmmm I wonder what they are up to?
Some sort of viral marketing – possibly of the H1N1 variety given bmi’s previous record on the IT front.
What’s the betting that the webiste will crash?

CharlieBrownParticipantAlso for any Twitter buffs bmi are holding a competition this Friday for their followers. Last Saturday they were giving away free flights although in upcoming competitions they’ll offer Gold DC status for winners.

davydharryParticipantI was hunting around for more information on the bmi friday and tried to sniff around for what they’ll be offering but didn’t come across anything other than a page on their website bmi friday. @Thomas – will they be offering DC Gold status or just flights you think?

CharlieBrownParticipantA mixture of the two davydharry. They typically announce before the competition whether free flights or DC Gold status is up for grabs. I know which one I’d prefer!

PotakasParticipantI have just received an email:
This Friday (25th June), bmi is launching the first ever bmifriday.
For five hours only, flights to seven worldwide destinations will be massively discounted.
The bargains begin at 12 noon on Friday 25th June. Put it in your diary so you don’t forget!
How far will you go with bmi this Friday? Log on to bmifriday at 12 noon to find out!

VintageKrugParticipantBeirut for £388 looks interesting. But I bet I could get cheaper elsewhere.
I am afraid that £2261 rtn in economy from Heathrow to Freetown is neither “unbelievable” in the way bmi hoped it might be, but also seriously underwhelming.
Get a grip, bmi. You are becoming a laughing stock airline.

TravellatorParticipantRe BMi – Get a Grip !
BMi used to be top dollar now with the intoduction of flexible economy etc they are no longer at the top of the tree.
Also they now have a habit of NOT crediting Tier points and miles.
You have to write to them and in my case as I now use the SMS boarding pass I have to write seperately for a receipt !
Dont want to start a lets bash BMi thread or maybe !!!!!

bmiAteMyHamsterParticipantTravellator,
Habit might be harsh. They were pretty consistent at accurately crediting me for a long while up until two weeks or so. Reading other forums it looks like no one is getting credited right now. Probably another ‘exceptionally well tested’ change on the website. My boarding cards still show BD*G, just no points credited. Of course the website form to claim missing points offers only user error reasons for not crediting. No option to choose ‘our website failed again!’
I can no longer check online in these days with FF number or booking reference either at the moment which may be related to another well tested change.
Still, at least the website is a miles better option than dealing with the shockingly bad call centre. I’ll be joining VintageKrug on that bet of his.
