Used to be called the Safari Lounge, but through passport control turn right and walk towards the end of shops,on your right you will find two sets of escalators and they will take you up to the lounge area. Just be aware that they share their lounge and it can become very busy due to the entrance criteria being wide ranging. Not only FF cards but cash and various benefit holders with Diners / Amex etc.

Just a question, no offence meant but why would you want to know that in advance? Does it really matter?

I like to know whether a lounge is offered, and the facilities available within it, especially on a route I rarely fly.

General airport staff (non-check in) are often remarkably ill-informed about which lounges serve which airline/class of service, and where they are located in the Departures Terminal (often in obscure poorly signed locations down long corridors), so you need to remember to ask for this information at check-in.

You may need to request a voucher for access, or if no lounge is offered, it's good to know whether your American Express Card will get you in to a lounge (eg bmi and Admiral's Clubs), or if there are Priority Pass, Diner's Clubs (who still uses Diner's...?) or other paid for lounge options.

Some are good, and worth turning up well in advance for (T5 Concorde Room, Qantas F Lounge at SYD, The Wing at HKG, Virgin's LHR Clubhouse) to enjoy a full service meal, shower or spa treatment.

Others are little more than overcrowded broom cupboards for which you should plan to minimise your time before boarding the plane.

Going through an airport can be stressful, even for the most experienced passengers, and having as many of your questions answered before getting there makes for a smooth start to your journey.

answer to Oztraveller. my flight from uk arrives at 8 and air mauritius flight leaves at 1300. want to know what lounge so have an idea if there are showers to refresh and a area to relax, sleep. if not then i will get a airport hotel to chill in. hope the above answer satisfies your curiosity. no offense taken

In that case yahoo100 I would clear through customs (if you are able to) and go "across" the road to the inter continental hotel where you can grab a shower and a bite to eat in the lounge downstairs. Accepts most FF cards but if not then 100ZAR gets you in and after that you can have a walk around the shops and restaurants. If you are flying BA then you get access if traveling Club or Silver. Hope this is useful.
