The flight left late due the late arrival of the incoming plane and the staff were pretty good at keeping us informed.
Check-in was swift with no queues and priority boarding done properly. The biggest frustration was the IFE which you could see the crew were having problems with before take off with the system restarting and a manual safety demonstration. It was therefore no surprise when ten minutes into the flight they said that the IFE was not working! Not great on an 11 hour day flight.
Food I would describe as OK, drinks good and service better than usual for UA. Arrival was interesting with the crew telling us which baggage belt the luggage would be on. This was changed as we walked off the plane with announcements at the walkway. It had changed again when we got to the baggage hall and changed again when we were waiting there! At least the bags came quite quickly though.
