    Having returned from Nairobi with several bags I entered the large baggage hall and was in need of a trolley.

    The trolleys were neatly lined up between the carousels and, having reviewed several trolleys I made my selection. I was delighted there was no fee involved.

    The device was easy to operate with simple instructions.

    The trolley was in good condition, I think the serial number was 1165897 but I am not certain. No problems with the wheels as you find in some locations.

    I exited the terminal where my bags were loaded and I said goodbye to the trolley.

    Would I use this trolley again: YES
    Would I recommend this trolley to a friend: YES

    Simon, you say you would use that trolley again, but could you find it again? Perhaps you should consider if you would use the same brand of trolley to the same design. If you would not, what is your alternative?

    Next time I am in Dubai I will certainly look out for trolley 18498732 as I understand it is superior to the one you used. It has no scratches and the wheels are oiled regularly with a product especially imported from Scotland.

    A good poser there MrMichael.

    There is always a risk I might arrive on BA and find the trolleys have been enhanced and replaced with hand baskets.

    I am not BA’s biggest fan, but last time I flew with them in F to Dubai, I was met at the top of the airbridge by a meet and greet service, whisked along in a buggy, escorted straight through immigration, to the baggage carousel, where our bags had been lifted off onto a special stand signed “BA First Class”.

    I was astonished.

    @Esselle In a nutshell….totally inconsistent BA.

    to be fair to BA (did I really say that??!!), I think the occasional meet and greet is down to Marhaba pitching for business by offering their service free to certain airlines premium travellers when their capacity allows. The hope is that you are so impressed with it you will pay for it next time.

    Ive had it from time to time on VS upper.

    The luggage piece is BA though but can we assume all F pax get this?
