Thomas Cook Airlines A330-200 (Long-haul)

    Flew with Thomas Cook to Cancun. We booked a pair of seats at the rear for the outward and Premium Economy for the return.

    On the outward journey we were told that the entertainment system was not working!!! 10hrs + with no entertainment (you can only read a book for so long). As compensation we received a complimentary drink – oh yippee! I know this type of fault is a rarity but it does highlight what a very very economy experience this was. These planes are just cattle trucks with wings.

    Premium on the way back, so slightly more room, but still virtually impossible to sleep in.
    How we wish that Virgin or BA went direct from Manchester to Cancun.

    It would be worth every penny of the extra couple of hundred pounds.
