I am surprised no-one here has commented on this.
American Airlines attempt at their "Holy of Holies" lounge at LHR T3 has been closed until April 2010 for a much needed refurb.
Perhaps they simply put a FlAAgship Lounge sign on the nearby toilets, and no-one noticed the difference?

Does this mean that the great & good who'd normally get access to the T3 lounge get to use the newly opened BA Galleries lounge? (I'm guessing those with the correct OneWorld Status would do so anyhow).
Business Traveller replies:
We've spoken to AA about this, and can confirm the Flagship lounge closed for refurbishment on October 23, and is due to reopen in March 2010.
In the meantime passengers eligible for the Flagship lounge can use the Admirals Club lounge. This is also undergoing refurbishment, but this is being done gradually so the lounge remains open during this time.
