It was only a few weeks ago that Qatar Airways finally opened its first class Al Safwa lounge at DOH after a long delay.

But various reports on social media confirm that it’s now been closed owing to flooding from the recent heavy rains in Qatar.

No indication right now as to when it will reopen. But could be a few days or longer.

Here’s brief video clip via @Al_Anood showing the rain pouring through the ceiling in the main DOH terminal.

Now maybe that’s why there was no Krug in the Al Moujan lounge on my outbound flight last week. With the Al Safwa closed, Krug was on offer yesterday morning at the Al Moujan.
