A number of you have asked when PAL (the only carrier currently flying Europe-Manila) might extend its network to other European cities besides London.

PAL is currently the only airline flying London-Manila non-stop. KLM, the only European airline serving Manila, routes via Taipei.

Well I noticed a news piece in the philstar.com which mentions that KLM is considering improving its offering from Amsterdam because its existing flight is running at over 90 per cent load factor.

It means that according to the airline’s manager in Manila, KLM is now operating a B777-300ER on the route which enables it to accommodate 100 more passengers.

If the move does go ahead it will benefit travellers throughout Europe who will be able to connect in Amsterdam. And possibly KLM will be able to take a shorter routing over Russia than is currently taken by PAL.
