Interesting Facebook post! Partnership and Tieup looking very likely. Could Etihad Airways join in too and make Skyteam stronger?

Given Deltas investment in Virgin i’d say an eventual join up with SkyTeam (and KL) is inevitable.

If Virgin does join SkyTeam, then it might make sense for it to move its operation over to T4 where the other Skyteam airlines are….

According to the business section of the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, quoting an official KLM spokesman, the post on Facebook is a HOAX. It was merely a Valentine day’s joke.

All nonsense and speculation in the thread is therefor just what it is: nonsense and speculation. Something that, at least in my opinion, should not be published on an otherwise serious forum.

Given delta’s ambivilance toward bits of sky team it isn’t in JV or ownership relationship l, I could see the Virgin being admitted to the transatlantic JV with KLM, AF and Alitalia without joining sky team. In effect merging delta’s two transatlantic JVs.

Doesn’t look like a joke. Had it been a joke or a hoax, it would’ve been removed immediately

Joke or hoax or not. V-Day lover or not. Does it really matter? Can’t we have a little fun & levity in our lives from time to time?

Many a joke has turned in to reality, just look at Jeremy Corbyn!

Unfortunately, a joke can easily turn into a threat.
Because somebody is different does not make them better.
