Good - Last year i was travelling alone to HKG and was being hasseled by guys and the hotels general manager who called me and said he had told security and all staff to look out for me and told me to report any problems with guests and visitors. He even one night allowed me to use the gym all to myself and had personally escorted me there with two members of the security team, one of them stayed with me while I worked out then escorted me back. The manager even got me a complementary manicure to cheer me up. On the same stay the girl on recption went out and got me a couple of emergency girly bits on her way home and dropped then off for me in the morning because I wasn’t prepared to pay the hotel prices or go out on my own :o)
Bad - 5 star hotels where you get a personal welcome note from the hotel manager offering you anything and everything to only ask for a small request like to find out they are unable to help as the service is broken/unavailable/rip off ! such as running out of clean towels charging you for a coffee refil and over charging for simple things like a coffee :(
Ugly - Spas that advertise tranquility bliss etc only to find the pool packed full of screaming kids!!! :p
xx
Bad - In Scotland being informed restaurant had been reserved for a private party, I could still order dinner from the restaurant’s menu for in room dining, but I would be charged extra for in room service. I can’t print my the rest of the conversation!
losing my PAYG sim card for Thailand whilst in the States, the hotel I use in BKK managed to get a replacement sim card for my next visit which was waiting for me at the steps of the aircraft when I landed at BKK.
Thats service.
Sadly but recently I've been very dissapointed by different hotels's services. But thanks God I found one company that spared my a lot of expensive costs and made my travel very pleasant for me. I reccomend to all of you who do busines travels a lot the services of shevana.com
