Diamond Club Points

Is it possible to transfer points between husband and wife? I have written to the Diamond Club but have not had a reply yet. We want to use the points to travel Business Class to Cairo.

You can't transfer points between members accounts but you can use your miles to buy a ticket for someone else, so if you have enough for two tickets then that's fine but if you were hoping to top-up someone elses miles with yours if they were a little short then that isn't possible. They can of course buy miles or transfer them into Diamond Club from American Express Membership Rewards.

Perhaps you or your wife (or indeed a generous relative!) could apply for a bmi credit card to increase the number of miles in your/your wife's account? A relative could apply, get the miles and purchase a reward flight on your/wife's behalf.

If you apply for the bmi plus card you could get 24,000 miles once you spend £250, though there is an annual fee of £60:
