An expatriate pilot with Hong Kong's Cathay Pacific Airways has reportedly been fired for performing a Top Gun-style stunt in which he swooped metres over a runway in a new Boeing passenger jet. (a news story with video of the fly can be accessed below)

The British boss of a leading airline (Cathay Pacific) was under fire last night after it was revealed he was on the flight deck of a Boeing 777 when it swooped over a runway at just 28ft in a daredevil stunt that cost the pilot his job.
