I am about to do some domestic travelling in Thailand, plan to use Bangkok Airways, anyone having experience with them?

We have some seatplans here http://www.seatplans.com/airlines/Bangkok-Airways and also acessed by the menu bar (far right).

Thanks, the feedback there sounded promising.

Hello, As a frequent traveller on Thai I just flew 3 sectors with Bangkok air becuase of the problems at Bangkok airways. I was very pleased with the service, most planes have only economy and they are smaller planes the largest being an A319 All flights were either on time or up to 20 minutes early. I read that Buisiness Class on the longer flights is great and I can personally endorse their airport at Koh Samui as a great experience - you are taken off the aircraft to the terminal in small buggies and the airport is very unique, beautiful and boutique

Great! Thanks for the info. Now I am looking forward to the trip.

I called them today to reconfirm the ticket (never done this today), wish they had had an opportunity to this online though.

They are a great little airline.......

Have to say the service was fantastic.... brand new A319 both ways, you get to use their own lounge in BKK (no matter what class your travelling in) free snack both ways (filling sandwich) juice and coffee/tea offered!

Would certainly travel with them again, a breath of fresh air!

Have flown with them more as the best way to Koh Samui in recent years, & whilst the ageing 707/717 was OK for an hr or so, their "Boutique" style lounges are very good. Interesting concept that has worked well for them for some years now.

The lounges is always a welcome touch & even on Koh Samui they have a considerable funky open air lounge under the coconut palmed terminal!! They seem to offer a mid way between low cost, & larger carriers, & for a reasonable ticket, they offer some nice touches.

David, have to say yes, the Koh Samui airport is really quite funky! Where can you find an open air terminal, sit at the cafe at the vey side of the runway, or have a massage in the spa centre, 200 hundred metres away!

If only ALL air travel were still like this eh?!!

Hi Roadking

I have just got back from Thailand (21st Dec) and experienced Bankok airways and my experience is nothing but very good...Good service, Quick checkin and they let you use there lounge at the airport...so thumbs up from me.

We flew them from BKK-USM in September and flew them in Business Class, they operate some Business Class seats on their busier times, all I can say is WOW, they have their own lounge at BKK and a separate one for their Business Class passengers, which is just beautiful and they escort you to the aircraft. Once on board we were given the choice of hot or cold towels, and a drink. Then a full plated hot meal for the 45mins flight. It was one of the best regional flights I have ever been on.

If only QF/BA would do that on their regional flights, and Business Class on Bangkok Airways is only approx £20/$50AUD more expensive well worth the money.

Have a great trip.

Dominic

I am now back from my trip to Koh Samui, and I have to say; Bangkok Airlines rock!

Great experience. Value for the money way beyond expectations!

Thank you all for input on the airline, and thank you Bangkok Airlines, for a superb product!
