hi is it still possible to get a 10% discount with BA Shareholder discount ? can anyone advise on how to purchase shares, is there a website ? and is there a min number to purchase ? overall is it worth it to get 10% discount on flights ? thanks

Shareholder discount is only available for the original BA (BAY) shareholders prior to the link up with IB to form IAG. BA shares are no longer traded. At present discount is not available to historic IB shareholders nor IAG share purchases since it was formed.

FYI…… This was still available to legacy shareholders as of 2 days ago when I used it!

…and it has recently been made possible to upgrade these fares online using avios. Particularly valuable during sale periods (current exUK sale ends 28 January)

It’s interesting that this long asked for development has been made, which suggests shareholder bookings are seen as a long term offer, so possible that IAG shareholders could be in line for a scheme of their own in due course…
