I noticed a very interesting message yesterday whilst booking First Avios redemption tickets using an Amex voucher..

This message appeared at the top of the listings of flights:
    “Gold Executive Club Member Benefit
Additional reward seats have been made available for you on 1 or more of the flights you have searched”

I like this! This is a result. I wonder what the rules are..
    Anyone else notice it?
A popular route that I did not expect to get a redemption flight on, but I did. Well done BA, I think you may be listening to us.

I think this message is nothing but a trash. My wife, who is not a gold member, still got the same access to the seat that BA offered me because I am a GGL member with a similar message to the above.

@NNoah16 This has been around for several years. As you say it is usually only for Golds that they open up and release a seat. They only let you have one seat in economy usually.

Also, if you are outside 30 days of travel, and a Gold, they guarantee a seat in Y on any flight for double Avios.
