We are booked to fly AC-001 YYZ-NRT non stop in a couple of weeks. Because of cutbacks our previously booked AC-002 non-stop NRT-YYZ return flight in four weeks is now diverting via YVR.

In effect AC is cancelling it's daily AC-003/004 YVR-NRT-YVR and making the previously non-stop AC-001/002 into one-stop flights.

BUT, there's more! AC-001/002 will now operate as domestic flights on the YYZ-YVR-YYZ sectors. So, passengers to /from Narita must now pay for previously free inflight meals as well as endure over two hours extra travel time between YYZ and NRT.

And in the case of of AC-002, passengers travelling NRT-YYZ must have baggage offloaded at YVR to clear customs and immigration.

If BA would let us preselect seats online at time of booking we would cancel AC and fly BA YYZ-LHR-NRT, possibly via HKG!

So prospective AC passengers should be aware of possible changes with all the numerous cutbacks being made!
