What excitement! I could see through the window of the plane that we were boarding NEW business class seats from the 21st century! Aerolinas had finally upgraded!

After travelling back and forth from Australia to Buenos Aries regularly, I was actually looking forward to a flight on this “different” airline
After being stuck in Auckland on good friday due to yet another break down (my fifth on Aerolinas!) I was looking forward to returning home in comfort

    My excitement was short lived!
While the exterior of the plane was fresh with new livery, somehow the interior look a little drab and colours were not in keeping with the fleet.
I was to learn that it was an ex middle east airliner with some age on it. That explained it.

From there it all went down hill as it usually does (I have actually sat on a bare metal seat without cushion on Aerolinas recently on an internal flight)

The entertainment system wouldn’t work as
    1) The holes for the jack were so badly located you couldn’t get your hand in to put it in. Even the hostess gave up
    2) It didn’t work anyway..it was broken
    3) There were only 4 films….the same ones as we had on the way over…great for 30 hours of flying

Oh and the meal between Australia/New Zealand……a disgusting ham and cheese toasted wholemeal sandwich…….which I rejected

So my short lived excitement and new found hope for a rejuvenated Aerolinas Argentina was very much misdirected…..the airline is still the basket case it has been for the last 20 years

Fly LAN instead…great airline. You cannot believe that both Airlines share a common border, but both are at extreme ends of the spectrum when it comes to service and comfort…
