LuganoPirateParticipantI had the idea from my response to another post. Doesn’t have to be 10 and should be travel related and kept clean please!
To get started, here’s a few from me. More after the match, Boks v All Blacks.
1. Trip along the Suez, Panama and (can’t remember it’s name but it’s in Greece) Canals.
2. Visit Australia
3. Go to an IPL cricket match.15 Sep 2012

capetonianmParticipantGo up Table Mountain on a clear day and walk as far as possible from the crowded area near the Cable Station.
Camp in the Okavango Delta.
Drive into the Namib Desert, get off the road, and spend a few hours listening to the silence.

An impressive selection and I can fully endorse (1), (2), (9) and (10). Having just done the Great Wall of China, the place to go is Mutianyu NE of Beijing – it’s quieter and set in a rugged set of hills with almost precipitous climbs in places. Whilst you are in Beijing and doing (2) also take in the Summer Palace (midweek and not on public holidays) and a MUST do is to take in an event at the stunning National Centre for the Performing Arts. The most amazing piece of modern architecture I have seen anywhere in the world. The acoustic is quite reasonable as well.
1. The Trans-Siberian from Moscow for a return trip to Ulaan Bataar and the “Big Sky” of Mongolia – and then onto Beijing for
2. The Silk Road and Xi’an for the Terracotta Army
3. Northern Japan
4. Burma – before it becomes yet another Coca-Cola destination.
5. The mountain and hill railways of northern India: Darjeeling and then around to Nagaland and Manipur.
6. Off piste skiing on the un-skied slopes of Kashmir – presumably dodging Pakistani shelling.
7. Rio 2016 Olympics?
8. A return trip to Sicily to take in the interior and not just the coast.
9. A return trip to the Dalmatian coast of Croatia and propping up the bar in Korcula.
10. Learning to tango in Buenos Aires – assuming that Kirchner doesn’t declare war on us first.I had better get on with saving my Avios (and hoping for availability)

Binman62ParticipantI was fortunate to visit Tripoli twice before the revolution. I experienced hospitality the like of which I have never had anywhere before.
The national mueum in martyrs square/ formerly Green square was astonishing. Would love to go back and see the other great Roman sites as well as again walk around the old city of Tripoli unmolested or harranged by people trying to flog something.
I stumbled across a church which I had not expected in Tripoli….great experience15 Sep 2012
