Lotte Arai Resort
Opened in December last year, the Lotte Arai Resort is located in Myoko, Niigata Prefecture in Japan. It takes two hours to get to the hotel from Tokyo on the Shinkansen bullet train and two hours from Niigata airport by car. The 257-room ski resort also offers the longest zip tour in Asia, at 1,501 metres in length. There is also the longest tubing course in Japan (192 metres), as well as bouldering on the artificial rock-climbing wall, and skiing and snowboarding on the 11 slopes and ten off-piste areas.

A member of independent hotels collection, Small Luxury Hotels of the World Group, 7 Secrets Resort and Wellness Retreat is situated in Nipah Bay on the island of Lombok in Indonesia. Opened in January, the Sheraton Grand Danang Resort is located on the white sandy beach of Non Nuoc in Danang, Vietnam, about 20 minutes’ drive from the airport. The 258-room hotel has a wide range of F&B options, ranging from Vietnamese fare to wider Asian cuisine. Meanwhile at Tea Lounge, guests can find barista-made coffee, an assortment of over 25 world-class and local teas with the views of the infinity pool blending into the East Sea.
Mövenpick Resort & Spa Boracay
Mövenpick Resort & Spa Boracay opened in December last year, standing in front of its own 200-metre-long private beach. The resort has a range of leisure facilities including the island’s biggest multi-level swimming pool spanning some 3,300 sqm, and the Sol Marina Beach Club, which plays host to international DJs and dance acts. For F&B, The Café serves fresh pastries and cakes, and a daily afternoon Chocolate Hour; while the pool bar offers cocktails and light snacks.
Revivo
Located in the hills of Nusa Dua in south Bali, Revivo will be opening in March this year, surrounded by forest, dense tropical rainforest and the Indian Ocean. The resort will offer 16 Balinese-style suites, two of which will be four-bedroom villas. Also available is an 8,000-sqm fitness area, comprising a yoga barn, a martial arts hall, a reformer Pilates studio, a gym with TRX, boxing and kinesis equipment, a 25-metre-long lap pool and a 1,500-sqm landscaped park for outdoor exercises.
Banyan Tree Anji
Scheduled to open in May this year, the Banyan Tree Anji is about a one-hour drive from Hangzhou in China’s eastern Zhejiang province. The mountain resort will offer 151 spacious rooms, suites and villas designed with a local flair and each offering guests mountain views. Additional offerings include boutique jewellery shop Element Jewelry, a spa, conference and events spaces, fitness facilities, a kids’ club, two restaurants, one lounge and a bar.
