British Airways has added lounge access for its premium passengers at three new European airports.

Club Europe customers, as well as Silver and Gold Executive Club and Sapphire Oneworld cardholders, can now use third party lounges at Innsbruck, Ibiza and Seville airports.

The carrier said the move was part of its “multi-million pound investment to offer access to more lounges across the globe”.

Commenting on the news Carolina Martinoli, British Airways’ director of brand and customer experience, said:

“We understand that using a lounge is an important part of the journey for our premium customers, so we are delighted to be able to offer this experience in more airports across the world.

“In recent years we have opened new lounges in Boston and Gatwick South Terminal and revamped spaces in Edinburgh, Cape Town, Amsterdam, Belfast, Washington, Singapore and Dubai with more in the pipeline.”

BA is currently refreshing its lounges at New York’s JFK Terminal 7, and is set to open new lounges at Aberdeen and Rome later this year.

The carrier said that further investment is also planned in lounge facilities at San Francisco, Johannesburg, Chicago and Heathrow (having already revamped its Heathrow T5 Concorde Room late last year), and added that “The airline will also be investing in a number of partner lounges where there is currently no lounge offering”.

BA has confirmed to Business Traveller that it has partnered with the following lounges:

  • Innsbruck – Tyrol Lounge
  • Ibiza – Sala VIP Cap Des Falco
  • Seville – Sala VIP Azahar
