Russian carrier Aeroflot is to drop flights from Moscow Sheremetyevo to London Gatwick airport this summer, in favour of an increased service to Heathrow.

The airline launched a daily service to Gatwick in late 2016, and also operates up to four daily flights to Heathrow, but industry website routesonline.com reports that Aeroflot will consolidate London services at Heathrow from March 25.

An extra Heathrow service will be added, departing Moscow Sheremetyevo at 1340, landing into Heathrow at 1600, then departing the London hub at 1715 and arriving back into Moscow at 2255.

The move will increase the carrier’s Moscow Sheremetyevo-London Heathrow service from 28 to 35 weekly flights this summer.

Business Traveller recently reviewed Aeroflot’s business class offering on an A330-300 flight between Heathrow and Moscow.
