Louis Vuitton has opened its first-ever airport duplex at Changi Airport in Singapore, joining the newly refurbished Central Piazza in the Terminal 3 Central Transit Hall.

Covering two storeys, the shop is located in the heart of the Central Piazza and joins the area’s other major retail offerings, notably The Shilla Duty Free’s Cosmetics and Perfumes and the DFS Wines and Spirits duplexes. An elevated walkway on the mezzanine level connects all three.

Speaking about the new offering, Changi Airport Group’s executive vice president of commercial, Lim Peck Hoon, said that the boutique’s “definitive French charm and distinct travel heritage plays up Changi’s image as a world-class shopping destination”.

Business travellers can also find a space to work at the revamped Central Piazza, which now features an open lounge with comfortable seating options and a dedicated working area. Individual charging points are available throughout the new open lounge space, which is located behind the Louis Vuitton duplex.

Travellers will also notice the Central Piazza’s new “Crystal Garden” installation, which features some 1,735 glass sculptures.

Changi Airport is set to unveil a slew of new retail and entertainment offerings in the near future, most notably its new Jewel complex, which will feature among other things a garden-themed Canopy Park when it opens in early 2019.

Earlier this year, the airport opened its newest and smallest terminal building, Terminal 4, its most technologically advanced area to date with an end-to-end fully automated screening process. Business Traveller was able to take an in-depth look at the new terminal ahead of its early November opening.

Terminal 3 also received the airport’s largest dining facility across its four terminals, the Sora Japanese food hall, last month.
