IndiGo Airlines announces flight operations to Colombo

IndiGo Airlines has announced the launch of  flight operations to Colombo, making it the eighth international and 49th overall destination on the airline’s network. Non-stop flight connections between Colombo to Chennai and Bengaluru, will come into effect from January 20, 2018.

With this new addition, the low cost carrier aims to provide on-time, affordable and hassle-free air services to the Sri-Lankan capital. Currently, IndiGo Airlines operates over 1,000 daily flights across international and domestic routes.

“As one of the most sought after destinations in South Asia, Colombo draws visitors from across the globe for its fine blend of tradition and culture. It gives us immense pleasure to add Colombo as our 49th destination and cater to the needs of both business as well as leisure travellers,” says Aditya Ghosh, president and whole time director at IndiGo Airlines.
