Air New Zealand’s recent bout of flight cancellations due to fuel supply issues looks as though it may be coming to an end, with the airline anticipating scheduled operations to run as normal tomorrow.

Over the past few days, the airline has cancelled numerous international flights along with rerouting others via Australia and the Pacific in order to make refuelling stopovers, a result of a temporary shutdown of Refining New Zealand’s pipeline into Auckland. Some of these stopovers are still being implemented.

The situation appears to be improving, however, with the airline cancelling just one return international service today, which flew between Auckland and Houston.

Its domestic flights, meanwhile, have been operating as scheduled for the past two days.
