Liverpool John Lennon airport has completed the latest phase of improvement works, with almost £3 million invested over the last nine months.
New retails stores have opened by brands including Dixons and Accessorize, along with several new food and beverage outlets including Cabin Bar with views across the runway, and a Ritazza coffee shop.
Around 2,000sqm of space on the upper floor of the airport departures lounge has also been refurbished and upgraded, with facilities including new washrooms, larger flight information screens and new seating and lighting.
A further £2 million is set to be spent on improving the terminal later this year, with plans to expand and redesign the existing World Duty Free shop.
Commenting on the works Lucy O’Shaughnessy, Liverpool John Lennon airport’s commercial director said:
“Previous investments in a number of passenger facilities at the Airport have seen our customer satisfaction levels reach an all-time high.
“We believe these latest improvements have created a real ‘wow factor’ for passengers as we welcome them into the Departure Lounge, building on existing positive passenger feedback and further enhancing the customer experience.”
Ryanair is set to launch new services from Liverpool to Copenhagen, Milan and Prague this winter.
