Norwegian has added a daily (except Wednesday) morning frequency to its Gatwick-New York JFK route, adding to the existing late afternoon departure from the London airport.

The new service leaves Gatwick at between 0535 and 0700 depending on the day of operation, as follows:

  • Monday, Tuesday and Friday – departs 0550, arrives 0850
  • Thursday – departs 0645, arrives 0945
  • Saturday – departs 0535, arrives 0835
  • Sunday – departs 0700, arrives 1000

The return leg leaves New York at 1115 daily (except Wednesday), landing back into London at 2315.

The new frequency adds to the existing 1705 departure from Gatwick, and 2300 service from New York JFK.

Norwegian’s CCO Thomas Ramdahl said that the new frequency allows travellers “to experience New York City in just one day”, departing on the new morning service from Gatwick and returning on the evening ‘red eye’ flight from JFK.

“The new service is perfect for leisure travellers looking to tick off those bucket list experiences in 24 hours or for business travellers heading to the city for the day,” added Ramdahl.

Norwegian recently announced plans to launch flights from Gatwick to Austin and Chicago from next March.
