Hollywood is a place of dreams for many, but as of last month, there is a new hotel that brings the two together right in its name: Dream Hollywood.

With 178 rooms and suites, the hotel is part of significant expansion plans for Dream Hotel Group, the company behind Dream Hotels, Time Hotels, The Chatwal and Unscripted Hotels (as well as the two Night Hotels in New York), with the aim of  reaching 150 hotels in the next four years.

Designed by the Rockwell Group and occupying half a city block, Dream Hollywood has an indoor-outdoor lobby with retractable walls and an 11,000 sq ft rooftop called ‘The Highlight Room’.

Combining a pool, terrace, restaurant and lounge, it has views over Los Angeles including of the iconic Hollywood sign. There is also TAO, serving Asian cuisine, Beauty and Essex, a restaurant concept on two levels that has a pawnshop at its entrance, and Luchini Pizzeria and Bar.

Rooms and suites come in categories ranging from Bronze to Platinum, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a mix of whites, blues and neutrals contrasting with pops of orange. A row of ‘freestanding, naturally-aged bronze shelving units’ that support the bathroom sinks, mirrors and minibar separate the bedroom from the bathroom.

The group’s expansion is based on a $2 billion+ development plan; for its Dream Hotels, this includes destinations in the United States like Nashville (with 169 rooms in the city’s historic Printer’s Alley), Dallas (250 rooms) and Palm Springs (175 rooms).

Further afield, there is Dream Oceanami Villas and Spa in Long Hai, Vietnam, as the first of several Dream hotels for the country (Vung Tau City, Hoi An, Ho Tram and Con Dao are also in the pipeline), as well as Dream Doha, Dream New Delhi and Dream Gasveli Maldives – with no less than 500 villas across three islands, the largest development to date in the Indian Ocean.

The first hotel under the group’s Unscripted brand – Unscripted Durham (North Carolina) – opened on July 19, with additional hotels planned for Cocobay Da Nang, Vietnam, Dallas / Ft. Worth, and the Dominican Republic.

The Dominican Republic will also welcome a Time Hotel, while The Chatwal is expanding to rural Bethel (NY) with The Chatwal Lodge, and to the Maldives with The Chatwal Maaga, with 80 luxury villas, six beach villas and two presidential villas.
