Mastercard is offering its cardholders discounts on flights with Singapore-based low-cost carrier Scoot and accommodations booked through Hotels.com starting this month.
Cardholders can get discounts of up to 50 per cent when booking through Scoot’s website between August 7 and 20 using their card and the promo code “SCOOTXMC”. Sample fares for flights out of Hong Kong and Macau range from HK$427 (US$) to HK$1,019 (US$) inclusive of tax and surcharges for flights to Singapore and Sydney, respectively. Among others, the airline’s new long-haul non-stop service from Singapore to Athens is also included in the promotion.
That said, there are restrictions on eligible travel dates. Travel has to take place from within the following periods: August 26, 2017 to September 24; October 11 to December 5; January 8, 2018 to February 3; February 26 to March 24.
Meanwhile from now until December 31 this year, cardholders can get discounts of 12 per cent on bookings made through Hotels.com with the promo code “SAVEMYCARDHK”. Stays must be completed before March 31, 2018 at a minimum stay of three nights.
Earlier this year, Mastercard introduced a swathe of new premium travel benefits for select cardholders in Asia-Pacific, focusing on travel, dining and peace of mind.
