Aberdeen airport will open its new Northern Lights executive lounge this weekend, as part of larger transformation project at the airport.
The paid-for lounge replaces the airport’s current facility, and offers 50 per cent more space, with features including locally-inspired decor, runway views, Brewdog craft beers, Gordon Castle gins, and a feature whisky wall which “presents an impressive catalogue of Scotland’s national drink”.
There will also be a menu by Craig Wilson (aka The Kilted Chef) of fine-dining restaurant Eat on the Green in Elon, Aberdeenshire.
Pre-booked and walk-up visits are available from Saturday July 1, with entry priced at £25 – a 15 per cent introductory discount is currently being offered with the code Lounge15.
The airport has recently opened a revamped international arrivals baggage reclaim area, with a new domestic baggage reclaim hall set to launch in mid-July.
A second phase of the transformation project is set to be completed before next summer, including an enlarged and improved security area and new retail offering.
