Norwegian has announced a new route between London Gatwick and Buenos Aires, with fares starting from £299 each way.

The four times-weekly service will start on February 14, 2018, operating on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

The new route will become Norwegian’s 11th long-haul service from Gatwick, joining nine US routes and forthcoming flights to Singapore.

Flights will be served by the carrier’s two-class (economy and Premium) B787 aircraft, with Monday and Friday departures leaving Gatwick at 0815 (landing into Buenos Aires at 1900), and Wednesday and Saturday departures leaving at 2130 (arriving into the Argentine capital at 0815 the following day).

Flights will be operated by the group’s UK subsidiary Norwegian UK – last month the low-cost carrier announced plans to operate both domestic and international flights from Buenos Aires, under a newly-created Norwegian Air Argentina subsidiary.

Commenting on the news Transport Minister Lord Callanan said:

“This will unlock new trade and tourism opportunities in UK and Argentina, which will boost our economies, provide more choice for consumers and open up new business links.

“Britain is a global trading nation and this is an excellent example of government and industry working together to build and strengthen our connections with the world.”
