Lastminute.com has compiled an infographic showing the likely journey times and costs when travelling from 12 airports worldwide to their respective city centres.

The graphic shows journey times and costs for transport options including bus, train and taxi, along with top tips for travel to and from each of the airports.

New York JFK and Hong Kong International are shown to have the longest bus journey times to the city centre at 90 minutes, while Sydney Kingsford Smith airport has the quickest rail journeys at just over ten minutes.

In terms of cost, Heathrow is shown to have the most expensive journeys by official taxi (which is listed separately to Uber journeys), with Dubai International being the cheapest.

Top tip for travellers using Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino airport? Official taxis are white, and have a fare capped at €40 for travel to or from the airport.
