Ryanair has brought forward the launch of five new routes from Stansted airport following “record demand”.

The flights had been due to start in November, but will now commence in September, due to “strong demand from UK consumers and visitors”.

The new routes are to:

  • Aalborg (three flights per week)
  • Kiev (five flights per week)
  • Lviv (two flights per week)
  • Oradea (three flights per week)
  • Pardubice (three flights per week)

Seats are now on sale for these destinations travelling in September and October.

Commenting on the news Mats Sigurdson, Stansted Airport’s aviation director, said:

“We’re delighted that Ryanair’s new winter routes have proved so popular that they are launching them two months earlier than planned. These routes will offer passengers and businesses even more choice at great value and build on the strength of Ryanair’s extensive network at Stansted.”

In January the carrier announced nine new routes from Stansted for the 2017 summer season, to Naples, Copenhagen, Beziers, Cagliari, Clermont, Grenoble, Nice, Nimes and Strasbourg.
