Emirates is to add the A380 superjumbo aircraft to its daily Dubai-Nice route from July 1.

The coastal city will be the second French destination to welcome the A380 after Paris, and the route will see an uplift in capacity of 44 per cent compared with the current B777-300ER service.

In addition the carrier is to offer complimentary helicopter transfers for first class passengers between Nice and Monaco (as well as a limo service from Monaco’s heliport to the final destination).

The service is also available to business class passengers for €79, or to economy travelers for €109.

Emirates first started flying to Nice in July 1994, and last year carried over 200,000 passengers on the route.

The Dubai-Nice service will be the 47th route to be operated by the carrier’s A380.
