Capsule hotel opens at Naples International airport

Naples has welcomed its first capsule hotel, located landside at the city’s international airport.

BenBo (short for Bed and Boarding) offers 42 single-bed pods, each measuring 4sqm and featuring free wifi, soundproof walls, automatic doors, air conditioning, a window (looking out onto internal space with blinds), Brera mattresses, a fold down table, mirror, clothes hanger and shoe rack.

There are no ensuite facilities, but guests have access to 16 single bathrooms with showers, with other facilities including a 24-hour reception desk, winter garden and smoking lounge.

Rates start from €8 for the first hour, and €7 for subsequent hours, or €25 for nine “night hours”.

Carriers serving Naples International airport from the UK include British Airways from Gatwick, Easyjet from Gatwick, Luton and Stansted (as well as seasonally from Edinburgh and Liverpool), Jet 2 seasonally from Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford and Manchester, Monarch seasonally from Birmingham, Leeds Bradford, Luton and Manchester, and Ryanair from East Midlands and Stansted.
