Air India has announced a number of new routes via its Facebook and Twitter feeds today (January 16), including non-stop flights between Delhi and Copenhagen.

Flights to the Danish capital will launch in May, using the carrier’s Boeing Dreamliner aircraft, and will be followed by a new service between Delhi and Washington in July, to be operated by a B777.

The flurry of social media posts also confirmed that Air India will launch flights between Kolkata and Bangkok in May, as well as increasing frequency on existing routes from Delhi to Bangkok and Ahmedabad.

The posts did not include schedule details for the new services, and when Business Traveller tried to access the carrier’s website airindia.in today it was temporarily down.

Air India recently launched flights between Delhi and Madrid, and resumed fifth freedom services between London and New York in August.
