Ryanair has announced a raft of new destinations from London Stansted airport, as well as increased frequencies on existing services.

The carrier will add nine routes for the summer 2017 season, to Naples (daily), Copenhagen (three flights per day), Beziers (three times-weekly), Cagliari (three times-weekly), Clermont (twice weekly), Grenoble (three times-weekly), Nice (daily), Nimes (four times-weekly), and Strasbourg (twice weekly).

In additions Ryanair will add extra flights to 13 existing routes to Bergerac, Biarritz, Bordeaux, Carcasonne, Dinard, La Rochelle, Lamezia, Limoges, Lourdes, Marseille, Perpignan, Porto and Toulouse.

The expansion will see the carrier offer 140 routes from Stansted, serving over 20 million passengers at the airport in 2017.

The airport recently unveiled plans for a new 34,000sqm, £130 million arrivals building, which would support its growth up to 35 million passengers per year.
