Marriott International has opened its second Courtyard property in the Belgian capital Brussels.

Courtyard Brussels EU is located on Rue Joseph II in the European Quarter of the city, and features 180 rooms, free wifi, Scandinavian restaurant Bistro Gard – Nordic Kitchen, fitness and business centres, three meeting rooms and a 24-hour market for refreshments and travel accessories.

The hotel also features the brand’s Go Board concept, with touchscreen technology allowing guests to view the latest airport information and research tourist attractions.

Courtyard Brussels EU joins the existing Courtyard Brussels on Avenue des Olympiades, and is the fifth Marriott property in the Belgian capital. The group also operates a Marriott hotel in Ghent.

Earlier this month Belgium’s largest hotel – the Sheraton Brussels – was forced to close following the bankruptcy of its operator SBH SPRL.
