Norwegian has partnered with the new Escape Lounge at Oakland International airport, offering features including free food, beverages and wifi.

Located in Terminal 1 next to gate 9, the lounge is operated by Manchester Airports Group USA, a subsidiary of the UK group which owns Bournemouth, East Midlands, Manchester and London Stansted airports.

According to Norwegian features of the new lounge include “stylish and contemporary furnishings, an extensive complimentary locally inspired menu, unlimited free alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and free high-speed wifi in addition to a selection of newspapers and magazines”.

Norwegian’s economy passengers can also purchase access to the lounge for $40 (pre-booked) or $45 (standard turn up entry).

The carrier also offers its Premium passengers on the Gatwick-Oakland-San Francisco route lounge access in London through No1 Lounges. Norwegian serves Oakland-San Francisco three times-weekly from Gatwick.
