Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) introduces “BLR Airport” app. Passengers can track flight details, connect to the airport’s wifi, use navigation facilities (via indoor Google maps), give feedback, look up “must buy” products and “must try” F&B items.

The airport has partnered with ThoughtWorks, a global technology consultancy, for the app. The tech firm claims it studied 14 top airport apps before creating the features for the “BLR Airport” app.

“The newly built digital platform’s innovative potential will keep adapting to the Bengaluru Airport’s evolving digital needs. Through these efforts, BIAL aims to future-proof its airport operations and services by making meaning of the abundant digital data available and create a more personalised, just-in-time travel service,” says a press note.

The “BLR Airport” app is available for download on iOS and Android devices.
