W Hotels unveils iPhone application

W Hotels has unveiled an iPhone application, which not only enables guests to make reservations at any of its properties worldwide but also offers users a music platform and in-room services reflecting the brand’s unique, funky and modern personality.
In addition to a global booking engine, the application enables users to listen to exclusive mixes and playlists put together by W Hotels’ global music director, Michaelangelo L’Acqua. Playlists range from lounge music, titled ‘Living Room’, or upbeat music for the gym, titled ‘Sweat’.
The application also brings W’s signature Whatever/Whenever service online as it enables guests to call for in-room dining around the clock or any other concierge services, such as ordering more towels or laundry pick up by clicking on the ‘I Need’ tab.
Users can also look up special offers available at any W property as well as ‘insider’ information about each destination, such as weather, directions and local happenings.
