Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide’s hip brand W Hotels has made its debut in Singapore with the opening of a hotel and residences on Sentosa Island.
The newly built W Singapore – Sentosa Cove is located on the east side of the island, an area a hotel spokesperson described as a modern playground for stylish locals and international jetsetters with luxury spas, beaches and a yachting marina.
The spokesperson said the new hotel offered business travellers a convenient way to take time out in a resort-style setting: “W Singapore is an urban resort that is close to the city, providing business travellers a place to relax just 15 minutes away.”
For guests to make the journey to the city centre, the hotel offers shuttle buses and also has a fleet of Audi A7, Porsche Cayenne, Mini Cooper and BMW 5 series as limos.
The hotel has 240 rooms and suites which all feature the signature W Bed, high-definition television, surround sound music system, wifi access and MP3 plug-and-play device.
The property also features W Hotels' Whatever/Whenever service which allows guests to request anything at any time of the day or night.
There is a WIRED business centre, which is open 24 hours and offers services including faxing and printing, binding, laminating and free office supplies. Event space includes a 732 sqm pillarless function function and seven meeting rooms.
The hotel has a 24-hour gym and outdoor swimming pool with underwater speakers, along with a branch of the brand’s signature Away Spa.
