Taoyuan Airport's Huan Yu VIP Terminal opens

5 Sep 2011

Huan Yu VIP Terminal, a new paid lounge-cum-business centre at Taiwan's Taoyuan Airport, has opened, offering a range of facilities and speedy immigration and customs clearance.

The three-storey centre is located between Terminals 1 and 2 within the airport and acts almost like an exclusive, private terminal where passengers can fast track procedures that usually take within 40 minutes to one hour. Now, they can expect to be cleared within 10 minutes and head from the facility to their departure gates.

Amenities consist of showers, a spa, gym, 16 VIP rooms that can accommodate between two to eight people, a conference room for up to 20 people (below), secretarial services and the main lounge area that serves food and beverages.

There are two access options: passengers can opt to use the facility, either during departure or arrival, or use it on both occasions. One-way access prices start from NT$8,000 (US$275) and a return access costs NT$15,000 (US$516). These include use of all facilities, including the VIP rooms, which will require advance bookings of up to three days.
