Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has enhanced its wifi internet services by offering complimentary access in its hotel limousines.
This service, which will be rolled out throughout 2013 at almost all of the group’s properties, was first introduced in 2010 at the Island Shangri-La Hong Kong.
New openings in London, Istanbul, Shanghai, Qufu and Sanya this year will offer the convenience in their fleet of cars, and the service will also be available at the group’s Kerry and Traders brands.
Furthermore, the Shangri-La Hotel Guangzhou shuttle buses are equipped with free internet access, while the Shangri-La Hotel Singapore offers guests using the limousines an iPad to browse through.
Unfortunately, resorts where boat transfers are provided instead of limousine transfers, such as the Shangri-La Villingili Resort and Spa, will not be able to offer the service.
Complimentary wifi internet access in limousines is an extension of the free internet access offered at all of the group’s hotel properties in guestrooms and public areas.
With this service, the hotel group has joined a range of other hotel groups that have picked up on the importance of internet connectivity and have already started offering this service (see story here).
