Plaza Premium Lounge to open in Heathrow

7 Oct 2013 by Clement Huang

Plaza Premium Lounge will open a new facility at Heathrow Terminal 2 in June 2014.

The venue will be the group's first in Europe since its inception 15 years ago.

Inspired by Heathrow's long association with the British royal family, the lounge will feature a concept that "provides service fit for royalty".

The bar

The venue will offer a live cooking station with made-to-order dishes, a daily tapas selection at the champagne bar, and an à la carte menu by British celebrity chefs.

It will also feature an airport spa with extensive treatments designed to tackle travel-related ailments and fatigue.

Little else has been revealed. However, Song Hoi-See, founder and CEO of Plaza Premium Lounge Management Limited, said: "Our concept holds a few surprises installed for our guests, I will remain tight-lipped about this, but what I can say is, we will make your time at Heathrow second to none."

Dining area

The news follows recent announcements that the company will open two new lounges and one transit hotel in Bangalore (see here), as well as a new flagship facility in Hong Kong International Airport later this month.

Plaza Premium Lounge intends to establish 50 new properties by 2015 (see here).
